About Us
The company was started in June 2003 by the two directors; Chris Walvin and Kevin Webb who at the point of start up had primarily intended to develop and provide quality support services to adults with learning disabilities.
Both directors have circa 20 years experience working within the health and social care field for the statutory, voluntary and private sectors both at local and indeed national level.
The unique management and consultancy opportunities and experiences gained through working in a range of diverse roles have enabled both directors to bring to the table a rich tapestry of skills and knowledge in the development of their own company.
These opportunities and experiences range from homelessness through to specialist services for people with autistic spectrum disorders.
Through discussion with commissioners from health and social services in it was apparent that at the point of commencement that there was and continues to be a demand for the development of community support and supported living models to meet the needs of individuals with complex needs.
There continues to be a deficit in a range of services to meet the needs of individuals with an autistic spectrum disorder many of whom have and continue to be placed in out of county placements.
A combination of local Knowledge and experience of models of "good practice" at a national level has inspired the development of a range of services and individual packages of support that have been acknowledged to be cost effective, innovative and creative in both their design and delivery.
These services currently include:
- Supported Living models
- Alternatives to day services that include autism specific skills centre
- Work with individuals with complex needs from black and ethnic minority backgrounds
- Transition from school or college
The company continues to go from strength to strength. It has achieved this by having a steady growth without compromising the quality of the care it provides. This is reflected in the excellent CSCI reports which describes the company as "providing good outcomes for the people they provide services to". Accredo scoring excellent in majority of the standards reviewed.
